Dessert is always my weak area and I may avoid my main meal to dig in to the dessert and fill my tummy with those deliciousness. Cheesecake is in my top favorite desserts, love those creamy lusciousness with mildly sweet crust. Have you checked my absolutely delicious Dulce De Leche Cheesecake?

Do you know why I love this white chocolate cheesecake soo much??!!They are so incredibly delicious ,easy to make,Creamy and simplyyyy melt in you mouth, I can make this ahead and more over, its No Bake Cheesecake tooo!!!!. There is no gelatin added. Hmmm what I poured on top to get that tangy balance……yes my favorite Lemon Curd. No mood for lemon curd??!! Top it with your other favorite fruit topping or Simply opt it out guys…. it taste great by its own! Please use good quality eating chocolate if you wish to get best cheesecake (No baking chocolate please).

I made this cheesecake when we invited my friend and family here for dinner and we simply enjoyed it to the bit. When we plan for inviting someone here, first thing I will start thinking is “What I will make for dessert”?!!! and I always make something which I can make a day or two ahead. There are two reason why I wanna make it ahead of time –  One if at all dessert experiment is failing, I have enough time for plan B 😉 and second is next day I can completely spend my time on main meal (which mostly I make Indian meals, as I wanted to introduce our Indian cuisines to Uzbek guests).

This pictures were clicked in hurry just an hour before guest arrive and sun was about to set too, somehow managed to get few clicks. You might be thinking why can’t I make those desserts some other day when no guests and take pictures. If I make those delicious goodies for our 2 member family, hubby will take only a slice or at the most second slice next day!! Finally I will end up indulge in it and finish off all those without any doubt! But weighting scale won’t show mercy on me guys ;-), huh I put on weight soo fast :(.  I envy those ladies who dig in so much and still maintain their curves :(. Anyways it taste soo great than it looks for sure!!! Ingredients are very easily available and no much fuss too!

Dulce De Leche Cheesecake and Almond crusted Pie

Dulce de leche cheesecake with almond crusted pie is absolute delicious baked cheesecake with flaky and nutty crust. Cheese cake is one of our favorite dessert and this one really caught us.

Last weekend was a long weekend here, since 21st was ‘Navruz’ and we got holiday on 20th as well!! It is considered as 1st day of Spring and one of the biggest celebration in Uzbekistan. They celebrate it by making sweets &  Uzbek Plov (Pilaf) and share with friends and relatives. The most important and special of those are preparing “Sumalak” – very nutritious thick porridge consistency, creamy kind of thing, made out of sprouted wheat and cooked over night!! Sumalak preparation is a bit lengthy process ( I heard that process start some what a week before) ,but you will get very tasty and rich Sumalak after all those hard work.I have never seen its process and never tried making it as well. Every year my hubby’s colleague/friends used to send me a bottle full of “Sumalak” which is prepared specially on this day by them. Which is very tasty and healthy as well. They believe that if you had sumalak by start of spring,you won’t get sick during coming months and stay healthy though out summer. As some of you who knows me well,knew that I have a very big sweet tooth. If someone offering me something sweet and savory, I would for sure opt for the dessert/sweet without any doubt. Baking and making something sweet makes me really happy. At the same time, my hubby Jaan even though he likes sweets and chocolates, intentionally he used to avoid it. But when I made this cheesecake, he really loved it and gone for the second time because this dessert is not overly sweet.

I was so excited to try this cheesecake pie. Not added any sweetener in the pie crust. So the dessert really balanced the sweetness.Dulce De leche (cooked condensed milk) really gives caramelly and rich taste to the dessert. My favorite nuts almonds gave the crust nuttiness. You probably would have come across my love for this tasty nuts in my recipes like Coconut Condensed milk almond Cake , Healthy Dry Fruits Cake , Financiers CupcakeAlmond Muhallabia (Middle Eastern Ground rice & Almond Pudding)One savory dish with almond I shared is Chicken Korma with almond & sesame ;).

I used farmer’s cheese, because which is available here very easily and cheaply. You could for sure substitute ricotta cheese/cream cheese.

This is not a complicated recipe, you can also make this a day ahead or only pie crust dough can be prepared a night before you prepare the dessert and cheesecake part can be done the next day as well (thats what I have done).

Farmer’s Cheese Cake (Breakfast Cheese Cake)

Farmers cheese breakfast cheesecake

Farmer’s cheese (“tvorog” in russian) is widely used as a breakfast item here. They simply have it by pouring some milk and sugar or make pan cake out of it (recipe coming soon!) Or cheesecake like this.  When I accompany my husband, when he go to nearby cities for his duty related purpose, from most of the hotels they serve these items for breakfast. Thats how I started noticing this. But when I had this cake first time, i dint realised that this was made out of farmer’s cheese.

I got this recipe from the milklady who used to bring me milk, fresh cream, curd and farmer’s cheese etc… she brings me all homemade, fresh products. Farmer’s cheese I rarely buy from her… only when I feel to make pan cake with it. One day she insisted me to buy tvorog, I told her if you can give me a recipe to make something with this other than pan cake I will buy. Thats when she explained me the recipe. Since this is not a complicated recipe, I understood without more drama ;). Even though we doesn’t know a common language to communicate, we talks so many things ;)…. I can understand little bit of russian language now. From her I learned so many words as well. More than any thing, ” Action speaks better than words”right?! Little words and more hand gestures are our way of communication. If these two-way doesn’t work, google translator comes for rescue 😁! Hubby used to say your early morning time pass is her. On off days, he will be there listening our drama by half sleep in bed.

This is really easy to put together with very little ingredients and  healthy breakfast cheese cake too….entirely different from american cheese cake which is eaten as a dessert. You can substitute ricotta cheese or cottage cheese with farmer’s cheese, but make sure to drain off the excess water they have.

If your kids are hesitating to have farmer’s cheese/cottage cheese alone, this is a way to make them eat…they wont even know there is something like this hidden in this. They will enjoy it like a dessert!!

I got this cake more yellowish color because of my egg yolk, it was really dark orange color.
