    Prepare the dough

    1. In a mixing bowl take warm water, yeast, sugar ,oil and mix. Keep aside for 1 to 2 minutes.
    2. Then add flour, baking powder and salt to it. Using your dough hook attachement slowly mix and make soft dough.( you can also use your hands to make the dough).
    3. You can add little more flour, if the dough is so sticky. But for me it was perfect.
    4. Kneed it again with your hands and keep the dough in a warm place by covering it with kitchen towel for 1:30 to 2 hours to rise. It must almost double in size.

    cook the bun

    1. Make 8 equal sized smooth balls out of the dough, brush with little oil on top of each balls.
    2. Now place square pieces of parchement paper or foil for each balls in your steamer, by keeping 1 inch space between each and place prepared dough on it. Then switch on the flame. (See tips)
    3. Cover the rest of the dough with towel to avoid drying if you cant keep all the prepared dough at once.
    4. After you started getting steam, cook for 15 to 20 minutes on low flame.
    5. Then switch off the flame and keep the bun inside steamer without opening the lid for 1 minute.
    6. Serve it hot with your prefered side dish. (Better to serve straight from the steamer).
    7. Enjoy and let me know the feed back. Happy cooking ?…

    Tips & Tricks :-

    • Keep your dough on the steamer and then heat the steamer, which will allow buns to cook slowly and get the perfect result. If you heat the water first and after getting the steam keeping the prepared dough, the buns will turn out chewy after cool down (great tip from Jaden).
    • You can give your prefered shape for the buns.
    • You can keep a clean kitchen towel on top of the steamer before closing the lid while steaming, to avoid droplets of water which may form while steaming.
